Bremex meets

Plans for meets in 2020

Due to the Covid-19 crisis we have cancelled the meets that we had planned up to and including July, but we have provisionally planned the following meets for the autumn.

  • 13th-15th September – scrambling in Borrowdale, Lake District
  • 24th-27th October – quality mountain days based at Tulloch, North West Highlands
  • 20th-22nd November – moorland navigation based at Castleton, Peak District.

What we do

Bremex weeks provide opportunities to learn and practise skills including:

  • Micro-navigation
  • Night navigation
  • Scrambling
  • Rock climbing
  • Wild camping
  • Winter skills.

This is usually done on a peer-to-peer basis, on the principle that all members, whether old or new, have something to offer and can learn from each other. We also occasionally hire qualified instructors, e.g. for teaching winter skills and winter scrambling, and subsiside the cost from club funds.

Most Bremex meets include hill walking and navigation.

Attending a weekend meet

All our weekend meets are organised by club members. We aim to publicise them well in advance by emailing everyone on our subscription list. If you want to know more, please contact us using the button on the left of your screen.
