Organised weekends of led groups and peer group workshops provide opportunities to learn and practise skills including:

  • Poor visibility/night navigation
  • Rock climbing
  • Scrambling
  • High camping/bivvying
  • Winter skills

Attending a weekend meet

All our weekend meets are organised by club members. We aim to publicise them well in advance by emailing all our members. If you want to know more, please contact us using the button on the left of your screen.

Outline plan for meets in 2019:

  • 18th-20th January – winter skills refresher with instructor in Snowdonia
  • 21st-24th February – winter hill walking and mountaineering to Grade I in Scotland
  • March – tbc
  • April – tbc
  • 25th – 27th May – wild camping and hill walking in eastern Cairngorms
  • June – Yorkshire Dales – hill walking, navigation plus one day rock climbing
  • July – Grade 2/3 scrambling in the Lake District
  • September – bushcraft/foraging in north east England
  • October – hill walking and night navigation
  • November – AGM multi-activity weekend in the White Peak.

Meets tend to include hill walking and navigation unless otherwise specified. Scrambling and rock climbing are also an option on some meets, depending on participants and weather.
