Organised weekends of led groups and peer group workshops provide opportunities to learn and practise skills including:

  • Poor visibility/night navigation
  • Rock climbing
  • Scrambling
  • High camping/bivvying
  • Winter skills

Attending a weekend meet

All our weekend meets are organised by club members. We aim to publicise them well in advance by emailing all our members. If you want to know more, please contact us using the button on the left of your screen.

Forthcoming meets in 2019:

  • 22nd-24th March – Lake District – quality mountain days and scrambling with option of rock climbing – based at Derwentwater
  • 4th – 6th May – Offa’s Dyke – backpacking
  • 25th–28th May – Scotland – Munro bagging and wild camping – eastern Cairngorms
  • 14th-16th June – Snowdonia – hill walking and navigation – based at Capel Curig
  • 12th-14th July – Lake District – grade 2/3 scrambling – based at Scales near Threlkeld
  • September – details to follow
  • 18th-20th October – Shropshire –  hill walking and night navigation based at All Stretton near Church Stretton
  • November – Peak District – multi-activity weekend – based at Sheen in the White Peak

Meets tend to include hill walking and navigation unless otherwise specified. Scrambling and rock climbing are also an option on some meets, depending on participants and weather.
