Plans for meets
Due to the impact of the Covid-19 crisis we have not had any meets since February 2020 and have cancelled the meets we were planning for the rest of 2020. The meet we had planned at Braemar in February 2021 has also been cancelled.
There are a lot of uncertainties at the moment about when Covid-19 restrictions will be lifted and it seems unlikely that the meets we had planned for the spring will be able to go ahead. If that is the case, then we will plan a wild camping weekend as soon as it is feasible. The outline plan is:
- Apr – scrambling and navigation in Great Langdale
- early May – backpacking along part of the Offa’s Dyke Path
- late May – Munro bagging based at Tulloch Station Lodge
- Jun – moorland navigation in the Peak District
- Jul – scrambling and hill walking in Snowdonia
- Sep – camping and wild swimming in Swaledale
- Oct – day and night navigation in Snowdonia
- Nov – multi-activity weekend, probably in the Peak District.
